I’ll be honest, these last few weeks have been agonising waiting for a final decision to come though from the French Consulate. Even shouting “Allez Les Bleus” during the Coupe du Monde hadn’t accelerated the process.
People moan about French admin but it was right on the button for their estimated completion time. But it did feel so loooooong waiting in anticipation.
I had an email last night to tell us the passports were being sent back to TLS Contact (the outsourced team that handle the visa application process) and then an email from Royal Mail this morning confirming we’d receive them by 1pm today.
Although packing has been going really well, and we’d estimated finishing it by this weekend, we’d had to put off a number of tasks on Rachel’s hitlist until we were certain we would be going.
These include:
The only last minute hitch has been my continued pain sleeping at night. Plus now I have my arthritic knee playing games so I’m laid up with my leg on a pillow until I can see the physio this afternoon.
Anyway, that’s all for now - lots to do!
